A Dreamy Mother’s Day Picnic

When I first saw this Mother’s Day picnic by Mom’s Best Network, it was too darling not to share! Mother’s Day is fast approaching (it’s this Sunday!) and what better way to celebrate your mom than by throwing her a little picnic? Complete with striped straws, a Victoria Sponge Cake with roses, and lots of bubbly, you can toast to your mom in the best way possible!

Treat your mom this Sunday to a gourmet sandwich or salad from her favorite spot or make her favorite meal yourself! Box it up in a cardboard box so everything stays  neatly packaged as you take it out into the garden or the park. The possibilities are endless of what you could do with this! Don’t just eat with plastic forks and spoons. Grab these delightful forks and spoons from Target to keep things festive, colorful, and fun.

If you’re looking for a great Victoria Sponge Cake recipe (it’s incredibly easy to do!), the BBC has an excellent recipe that I highly recommend. Also, how darling is the love cake topper? I would put that on all of my food!

I love the look of this Mother’s Day picnic and how dreamy it is! I hope you all treat your mother’s to an amazing day. Let me know in the comments what you’re up to and how you plan to celebrate it!

    1. That’s an awesome idea Meg! That’d be such a great way to make them feel special and get in some girl time 🙂

  1. This is such a lovely way to celebrate Mother’s Day. My mom lives far away though (sad sad) but I will definitely tell my sister about this. It’s not that expensive too I reckon. Definitely cheaper than the usual bill at (most likely very crowded) restaurants.

    1. I’m so sorry you won’t be with your mom this Mother’s Day! But this is way cheaper than going to a restaurant for a traditional dinner. You can even pick up sandwiches and dessert from her favorite places and eat it in the park for a lovely afternoon 🙂

  2. What an adorable idea! I think I will have to plan something like this for my mom and my sweet little grandma. I know they would love it! Thanks for the idea, so different from the norm and l love that!
