Best Brunch Spots in Charleston

If you’re visiting Charleston, or a long time resident, brunch is the most popular meal here and one I personally always look forward too. To make things easier, I’ve rounded up the best brunch spots in Charleston! Ranging from New American cuisine to Mexican-inspired, these brunch spots will leave you happy and satisfied. Don’t forget to add a mimosa, Bloody Mary, or unique cocktail to your morning too!

Rarebit

Rarebit is known for its delicious Moscow Mules and fries (hello late night munchies!) but they also serve up a mean brunch. Rarebit is one of my more favorite brunch spots in Charleston. The staff is delightful, the cocktails unique, and their waffles are amazing. My recent favorite is their huevos rancheros!

Indaco

If you love Italian food, Indaco is your new go-to brunch spot. They’re ‘milk and honey’ dish is phenomenal and perfect after a morning yoga class. Bring your friends and enjoy their patio where you can people watch all morning long.

Warehouse

You can begin and end your day at Warehouse! During the day this bar is a happening brunch spot and coffee shop before it turns into a bar at night. Their Bloody Mary’s are impeccable and they offer a special spot on the menu just for deviled eggs. That’s right, deviled eggs that are specially created every day.

Vintage Coffee Cafe

Vintage Coffee Cafe has only been open less than a year but already it’s one of the best cafes in Charleston. You’ll have to leave the Peninsula and into Mount Pleasant but it’s well worth it! This cute little shop has amazing coffee, toasts, and a killer acai bowl. If you love toast breakfasts, try their fig and goat cheese toast. Heavenly! They have lots of events throughout the weekend including the infamous Charleston Baker Gal and they’re opening a pizza shop soon!a

Butcher & Bee/The Daily

The conception behind Butcher & Bee has been on the most well known in Charleston, and rightfully so! Start your day off at The Daily with a cup of coffee then walk just a mere 200 feet away to Butcher & Bee for a delicious breakfast. Their shakshuka is to die for!

Park Cafe

If you love avocado toast, then Park Cafe is the place for you! This brunch spot loads up their toast with a hefty amount of avocado that’ll keep you full long into the day.

The Obstinate Daughter

Journey over to Sullivan’s Island where you’ll find this charming restaurant. The Obstinate Daughter is located just off the beach and they provide an excellent brunch. Save room though! The chef makes the best coconut cake I’ve ever had, and he makes it from his own grandmother’s recipe! Now that’s keeping it in the family.

Basico

Basico is part of the Mixon family in North Charleston. With its cheerful decor and open space, it’s hard not to fall in love with it. Inspired by the flavors of Mexico, you’ll leave fat and happy after their wonderful brunch. While you’re there, walk around Mixon and enjoy the various shops they have.

Gnome Cafe

I’m not joking when I say that P and I bike to Gnome Cafe almost weekly. Gnome Cafe opened in late November and has been booming every since! This vegetarian restaurant offers one of the best brunches and lunches in town. Try their cinnamon pancakes for a gluten free option (my personal favorite) or their breakfast burrito made with curried tofu!

There’s a number of wonderful brunch spots in Charleston and it’s hard to pick the best! Regardless of your food preference, these restaurants offer delicious options for all! Make sure to put a few of these on your list the next time you visit Charleston!
