Kayak Kafe

Back in September we took a fun trip down to Savannah, GA courtesy of Toyota and we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to dine at some of Savannah’s most popular and up and coming restaurants. So it comes as no surprise that once I heard of Kayak Kafe’s wide vegetarian menu and delicious cocktails that I had to stop by! Jennifer and I had a blast styling some food items for their social media and each dish was heavenly!

Now don’t call me too much of a foodie snob please while I just gush over the interior of Kayak Kafe! It’s wide, spacious, and naturally lit dining space is perfect for capturing that perfect Instagram photo. I think we got caught a few stares as we stood on top of chairs to capture that perfect shot of food. It’s a rare day that we find restaurants that cater to specific dietary requests like vegetarian and vegan but this place has it all! If you’re a vegan, vegetarian, or gluten-free, they are happy to accommodate you and the food is spectacular! I won’t give away just yet what my favorite dish was ;).

Before we dived into any food we had to try one of their many delicious cocktails. P got a Muddled Peach (featured above) and I got my classic Moscow Mule. I think I only like them so much because of the copper mugs! Both cocktails were heavenly and everything is made fresh daily in house. I truly believe that fresh, organic food in dishes and cocktails speaks volumes about a restaurant and this one was screaming

Not pictured, me trying to not resist drinking my Moscow Mule!

But the main star of this vegetarian show is the food. Just look at how perfectly plated, colorful, and above all else, delicious this food looks! When they say they have the best tacos in town, they mean it! Their flare of TexMex and American was just perfection.

We had the following items and I highly recommend each and every one of them!

Organic Tiger Tofu Tacos (Which was heavenly!) and Tofu and Vegetable Tacquitos

Spinach and Wild Georgia Shrimp Salad

Roasted Turkey and Cherrywood Bacon Panini

The dish that truly stole my heart at Kayak Kafe was the deep fried taco sandwich. You guys, I can’t even begin to express how amazing this dessert is! I rarely eat dessert but this one will have me coming back again and again. It’s incredibly simple and as the ice cream melts, it creates a delicious cinnamon vanilla cream that is to die for. I don’t even think I would share this dessert with P and that’s saying something!

I cannot even begin to express the food coma we experienced after dining with Kayak Kafe. Everything was impeccable and we thoroughly enjoyed styling their food for them and enjoying it afterwards. When we go back to Savannah, I know I’ll be stopping back by for a tasty lunch or dinner! If you’re ever in the Savannah area, I highly recommend stopping by either their Midtown or Broughton location. You won’t regret it!
