Have you ever heard the old rule, “no white after Labor Day”? Yeah, me too and I’m breaking all the rules with this stunning lace dress from Make Me Chic. I’ve never been a fan of the ‘no white rule’. Living in a Southern city, it’s totally acceptable to wear white all year round!
I absolutely love this white lace dress, it’s so lady like and delicate with the grid lace pattern. Paired with a gorgeous orange lip and pink shoes, I’m just dying to attend a tea party in this dress! Could you just imagine having a tea party in this outfit? It would most certainly be the star of the show. It’s incredibly lightweight, which as we all know, is incredibly key here in Charleston. But I do love that I can wear tighter fitting clothes again! This dress hugs me in all the right places and just has such a charm to it.
I mean just look at the detail on this dress! I’m so in love with it and it’s becoming one of my favorite pieces to wear for dates with P or for work. Again, you know I love versatility in my clothing!
No darling lace dress could be complete without the perfect accessories! I love adding pieces to statement to dresses like this that continue to compliment it. My pink shoes (which I found for such a steal years ago) and leather bucket bag are the perfect accents and don’t take away at all from the lace dress.
That’s one of my key rules when it comes to wearing powerful statement dresses, keep your accessories simple and delightful. I love pairing white lace dresses with my pink shoes as well. It provides the perfect amount of pop! This leather bucket bag is the perfect accent to any outfit as well! I love natural tan leather goods and think it just really pulls everything together in this look.

So side bar here: how freaking awesome is this shot from Jennifer? Seriously she’s the queen bee of photography and I love having her on my team!
From head to toe, I am obsessed with this look. Everything about it is perfect and wonderful and I could wear it for everything. So do away with that old rule that you can’t wear white after Labor Day! Break out your favorite white pieces and wear them loud and proud all year long!
