I will not lie, Vogue by Madonna was in my head during this shot. (Please don’t judge me)
Oh summertime. Not to rub it in my friend’s faces that live elsewhere in the world but Charleston, no other place compares. With our hot temperatures essentially all year round, I can wear fierce neon outfits all the time. Could I do that in London? Probably, but it’d also look a little strange.
But CHARLESTON! My goodness I have grown to love this little city more so than I ever thought possible. This neon orange dress from Stylexchange Couture is basically like physically outfitting myself in my happiness and joy. It’s fun, flirty, NEON, and best of all? Light and airy. Because let’s face it, I love the summertime temperatures here but I do not like my clothes sticking to me.
Like my other wardrobe choices lately, I’m really into pieces that require no other additions to them. They just work so well on their own that you don’t need to pile on the accessories, or even properly do your hair for that matter! You just slip them on with a pair of heels and flats and you look complete.
That’s how this dress makes me feel. If anything, that’s how all the dresses I have make me feel. But that could also be from the immense inner happiness and joy I’ve been feeling lately (more on that in the next post). When you look at a dress this vibrant, you automatically associate it with summer. How could you not?

I don’t want to say much about this dress because I think it speaks for itself. Clothes are such a wonderful way to see how a person is truly feeling, without them having to say a word. Marc Jacobs has a wonderful quote about clothes that rings so true with this dress, “Clothes mean nothing until someone lives in them.”
I hope everyone has a wonderful Thursday. Be on the look out later today for a special announcement!
What do you think of this outfit? Go check out Stylexchange Couture in the Mount Pleasant Shopping Center! It’s seriously one of my favorite spots to hit up when I’m out shopping. I never leave disappointed!
